Pax Center
The Pax Center’s mission is to keep LaPorte County well-loved and well-fed. Since the beginning of the State Street Church community, there has been ongoing work in helping the hungry and lonely in our neighborhood. The Pax Center started in 2015 when a generous donor gave the church a former bar and nightclub. This building houses State Street’s food service initiatives. With nearly 2,500 square feet of renovated space, the Pax Center feeds thousands each year through the food pantries and community meals. There is also a free clothes closet and resource center.
